Mrs. Fulkerson began her career in higher education, spending ten years working with college students through leadership development, residence life, and restorative discipline. When she began to raise and teach her own children at home, Mrs. Fulkerson was introduced to classical education and was immediately captivated by the beauty and aims of the classical tradition. After founding and directing a classical homeschool community for six years, she joined the leadership team of North Star Classical Christian School in Libertyville, IL., where she now serves as a board member. She is eager to work alongside the TCA team in cultivating Christian piety through classical education. Mrs. Fulkerson holds a BA in English from Miami University and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Jennifer Monroe

Mrs. Monroe began her teaching career in a Christian high school English classroom in Tucson, Arizona. Since then, she has spent 20 years raising and teaching her own children at home, during which time she fell in love with the classical model for education. She is excited to be a teacher at The Classical Academy and to help direct students in northwest Iowa toward Christ, in whom all truth, goodness, and beauty hold together through the study of composition and literature. Mrs. Monroe earned her BA in English from Wheaton College and her Masters in Teaching from Wheaton Graduate School.
